Kocim news - Melalui blog resminya baru-baru ini, Sony Ericsson mengisyaratkan bahwa ‘lineup’ dari smartphone Android-nya, yakni XPERIA X10 dijadwalkan akan diupdate ke Gingerbread pada akhir kuarter kedua atau awal kuarter ketiga tahun ini.

Menurut sumber yang memberi informasi menarik terkait update XPERIA X10, yakni Rikard Skogberg, dikatakan bahwa pengalamannya ketika menggarap smartphone XPERIA Arc dan XPERIA Neo telah membantu pihak Sony Ericsson untuk mulai menyiapkan update Ginberbread untuk X10.

Selain itu alasan di balik datangnya update X10 kelak, juga disebabkan oleh permintaan para penggunanya.

Terkait dengan platform Gingerbread yang akan disematkan di X10, secara singkat Skogberg mengatakan, bahwa pihaknya telah merencanakan untuk membawa software dan fungsionalitasnya ke Xperia X10 seperti halnya smartphone Sony Ericsson yang diluncurkan pada tahun 2011 ini.
